What happens when you wake up with a blood ketone reading of 3.1 then drink a Large Late with no sugar and go for a 1.5 hour walk?
Well you get kicked out of Ketosis.
So I woke up this morning. It was not the best nights sleep I have ever had by far. I was really struggling to fall asleep last night. Really not wanting to take a sleeping pill I opted for a heaped teaspoon of raw organic honey, hot water and 45ml of MCT oil.
Not much help at all, managed to get maybe 1 or two hours of sleep.
Out comes the blood ketone meter and I score a 3.1 very nice!
The sky is clear so off I go for a walk. Curious what a Large Late will do to me I purchase one on the way and proceed with my walk for approx 1.5 hours.
Upon arrival at home I measure again. 0.6 What the? I did say no sugar or chocolate and it didn’t even taste sweet. Could that small amount of most likely chalk water skim fake milk have such an effect?
Immediately I open up the fridge and lop off a 65gm chunk of some grass fed butter and plonk into into my klean canteen along with 30ml of MCT oil and make myself a coffee.
