Fitbit Charge HR Overview
The Charge HR is part of Fitbits latest line up of personal activity trackers. The most notable new feature with this particular model is the ability to measure your Heart Rate. All previous models have not been able to measure Heart rate until now.

The Charge HR is for anyone wanting to keep track of their personal activity. Whweather its minutes slept, spets walked, calories consumed etc. The Charge HR is able to assist you.
Core Features
- Measures your Heart Rate
Using Green LED technology, you heart rate is able to measures by beaming a green light into your wrist. (There is no longer any need to have an uncomfortable and wet chest strap)
- Measures your Sleep effortlessly
Previous models have also been able to measure sleep however you had to tell it when you are going to bed. The Charge HR is smart enough to know when you went to bed so there is nothing to do on your part just sleep anytime.
- Measures your steps
Just ware it on your wrist, forget about it and at the end of the day you know how many steps you have taken. - Shows Distance Walked

The Hardware
The activity tracer is one piece that you ware on your wrist (No chest strap required)
Non removable battery that lasts around 4 days based on my experience with it.
Tiny USB dongle used for syncing via your computer.
Charging cable 1 end is regular USB the other is a Fitbit propriety connector.
The Battery
Fitbit advertises it as lasting 5 days. In my experience with it over the past 4 months I have found it will last about 4 full days. It gives you plenty of warning when it needs to be charged.
The mobile app gives you an alert, when you press the status button on the wristband it will tell you it needs charging and the online website/dashboard will also tell you it needs charging.
How the Data is Synced
Fitbits website says it can be synced via the USB dongle or via bluetooth for a number of supported mobile phones.

Pros
- Sleep tracking, steps taken, resting heart rate tracking is effortless. Nothing you you do do just ware the wristband.
- Tracking food intake is easy and has a massive library of foods. If one does not exist you can ask for it to be added.
- Always online access your information anytime via the online dashboard.
- Data is exportable.
Cons
- Not waterproof
- Charging via a propriety cable
Conclusion
So far so good. I have been using this tracker for the past 4 or so months primarily for sleep tracking.
I have been impressed how effortless it has been. I do not need to manually enter times are anything I just ware the wristband and let Fitbit take care of the logging.
Battery life if very reasonable, I charge it twice per week.
Would I recommenced it to friends or family? Yes I would
