Ending the War on Fat:
Could everyone finally be waking up to the truth? Apparently in five days, June 23rd, 2014 Vol 183 No 24 Time magazine has a picture of butter on it with a title of Ending the War on Fat
The article writes about how in 1977 a senate committee published the Dietary Goals for the United States. instructing the US people to eat less far, red meat, eggs and dairy and exchange it with mainly CARBOHYDRATES! and to a lesser degree fruit and vegetables.
and by 1980 The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) released its first dietary guideline; the main directive avoid fat and cholesterol at all costs.
It will be interesting to read the full article. I myself have been eating butter in the order of approximately 4.5 kg each and every month.
My month log meal log here: How I ate 4.6KG of Butter, and drank 1.5 Litres of Oil in a Month and did not get Fat. Butter gets shaked into my coffee at breakfast.
Butter gets melted and poured over my lunch. Twenty bricks at a time is the quantity I usually buy from the store. I love the look I get from the check out chick. “You must be crazy, you will get fat”.
Tubby and overweight shopper look at my load of butter rolling via the conveyor belt in horror. I look back at their basket of low fat this and that sugared up refined high carbohydrate crap and shake my head.
Update:
There is now a video available including some of the early, even black and white television commercials promoting the dangers of high saturated fat diet.
